Ummm... it says USA tomatoes have Salmonella, and the US has had cases, so Canada is being preemptive and taking them off the market.
How is that a failure at all?
Seems like its what you guys should have done in the first place. Or maybe better inspections to prevent issues like that. :dunno:
Sounds like USA rode the failboat on this one!
Canadian tomatoes have also been cleared of any link to the illnesses and no cases have been reported in Canada.
