Default computer cleanup v.virus protection

My computer at work is in need of a little cleanup and I was wondering what the general concensus on the best free downloadable anti-virus software is nowadays.

I also did a disk defrag, any other little things I can do myself to get this thing running a little better?

being that it's your work computer, shouldn't you have an anti-virus solution already installed? :hs:

My IT guy just reinstalls everytime lol.

I usually go with, Adaware, Spybot S&D, CCleaner and AVG Free for free antivir.

Well aparently whatever program the office has wont let me install any other program (I tried AVG, which I have at home, but no dice). I guess I'll just go on the assumption that the office security is good enough. :/ FWIW, this is my computer (i.e. I own it), but it stays at work and is on the office network.
