So now — after 24 hours of ego-maniacal posturing — the New York Times is reporting that Sen. Clinton will suspend her campaign and endorse Sen. Obama on Friday.

I'll just say her speech last night was a testament to her character... and that's not a compliment. :a:

You know that Obama is pretty much put on the spot to add her as VP just because he wants to appease her 18 million followers. Sad as it may seem he might just have to add her and her baggage to his ticket.

I hear ya... but at the same time, Obama will not let Hillary mug her way onto the ticket. IMO, the trouble with vetting Bill's finances will knock Hillary out of contention.

Also, many polls have shown that Clinton supporters expressed their willingness to vote for Obama were he to win the nomination. There is more to be gained, IMO by looking elsewhere.

Update: AP and Reuters are also confirming Hillary's plan to concede.

I whole-heartedly agree but you know how many diehard Clinton supporters will behave. I am just wondering if from now until November is enough time for them to reconcile, Obama and Clinton supporters. It doesn't seem like they are true democrats if they are willing to support McCain just because their candidate didn't win the nomination.
