Default new winter toy v.snowmobile

went with my pops friday night to place the order

1100cc turbocharged 4-stroke

177 hp, roughly 152 ft-lbs torque stock

the dealer he got it from already has a custom tune package he designed to bump to about 217hp on 4lbs boost ... we were going over bumping up to 10lbs or so, just got to wait and see if the dealer can get his tuned right at that

instantaneous boost, redic torque, more horsepower than most small cars on the market ... all in a 500lb package :rick:

cant wait to get my hands on this and see what it does

4-strokes blow the rev out of the water

never was a fan of the REV chassis, worked on a quite a few and they are a pain in the ass. and the few i drove just didnt impress me. the only place the rev had a advantage was in the rough whoops and thats primarily because of the rider forward design. was glad to see ski-doo finally wake up and realize that trailing arms were a poor design compared to a true a-arm setup like cat has always run.

i drove the z1 the first year it came out, was amazing

now with a turbo the only thing that has a shot in keeping up in both speed and mileage is the yamaha platform.

2-3 times as far on a tank of gas, more hp, more torque, easier maintenance ...

snowmobile riders are more brand biased than auto fans i'd say though so its a argument that will never end

I totally agree.

My 08 rev is hands down better then the 07 I traded in. I stuck with ski doo because they helped me with a huge trade assist.

yea that makes a choice easy

that was most likely the dealer you chose rather than the brand

manufacturers = the assholes, have to buy so many sleds and if its a bad winter you are on your own.

be glad you got in now ... wont be long before you will be forced to buy a 4-stroke if you want to buy new. and after finally getting seat time on one last winter im no longer against the change. they are amazing.
