I don't really know much about the weapons in the game yet... like I've mention, I've been using the M4 throughout...

 

Ah I know what you're talking about, I believe they call it the V-ring round

 

actually, i killed octopus and still got the mask. but i didnt kill raven as well.

the point of not killing the bosses has something to do with a secret you get when you finish the game and start a new one. (like in all the other MGS', like an easter egg.)

i can see myself playing through this game over and over just to get all the secrets.


and to fix the solid eye running out of power problem, on the mission briefing scenes, look around the area with the Mk. II.

 

When you killed octopus, did you get two masks......the full camo mask and the octopus's face mask or one? Did you get Raven's mask as well? I believe regardless how you take out Octopus, you'll get the full octo camo mask

 

Currentlly on big boos extreme mode trying to get the bigboss award friggin ridiculous. No alerts no killing no continues have to to all that in 5 hours.

 

good question, i only got one mask that was hers, but works the same as a full camo mask (if that makes sense).

is there a difference in octopus and the full camo mask?

i got ravens mask after tranquilizing her.

Ahhh okay, if you were to tranq octopus you would have gotten the extra mask. Don't know what the benefits are at this point, haven't really got a chance to test them out. Basically the octopus mask is the chick's face.

 

well, all the more reason to play through it again.

 

ok, just put on ravens mask. dont see the point of it, but oh well.
