I'm sure in an open area this thing will be fine... plus the fans didn't turn on yesterday because the cable box was off (the fans are set to turn on whenever the box is on
) :doh2:Figured I'd post anywho
The day before with the fans on I played for a good 5hrs+ with no problems... I only got 2hrs in yesterday though

I've had my PS3 on for months without shutting down. I never got one message saying it was too hot.....hell I didn't even know they would inform us in the first place. Just keep it ventilated and you'll be fine.
yea, that's what I figured...
a messaged just popped up on the upper right hand corner while I was playing COD4 saying it was getting hot and to turn it off... I realized the fans weren't turned on in the enclosure afterwards...
h:On other note, I found out yesterday if you shake the controller a little the camo goes back to normal
