Portable GPS devices are inherently cheap and tacky looking so as long as this thing works, I wouldn't care too much. Report back if it flies out of the car though.

not the same one, but the rental car has the garmin unit with it. Works pretty well, even under aggressive driving condition

They also make one where it plugs in to the cigarette lighter. Kinda dumb that they didn't think to make it to charge the unit while it's plugged in though.
