i bought a Matador Red Pearl 97 GS 5 speed from one of my gf's childhood/current friends.

specs:

161k miles - 5 speed - stock b18b1 - 160-170psi compression across the board (cold). leakdown test will go down tomorrow.

I bought a new radiator/t-stat/rotors/pads/wires/plugs and should all be going in this week.

its been in a couple fender benders, but that doesnt matter to me, as the paint is pretty fresh. i got it friday morning, but i spent the weekend in vegas for my friend's bachelor party. so no pics yet.

also, the car's interior is in abysmal condition. i'll make a build thread, something i've never done before.

 

wewt! Is matador red pearl that burgundyish color? Or is it actually red. I think the burgundy is hot, personally :hsdunno:

its on some black BBS mesh wheels that are on loan from a friend of a friend of the guy i bought it from.

restore back to stock condition:

Namely interior leather is done. lots of weird stains in carpet and what not. gotta get replacements seats. gotta scrounge up a spare tire, particle board, and tools.

Theres a huge tint banner on the windshield that has to get removed.

The front left mounting point of the front bumper ripped off, gotta address that so it doesnt flap in the wind.

fender liners and what not need screws/clips/mudflaps.

car is lowered on stock shocks and VIS coilover sleeves. since i've outgrown being on the ground, i'm going to do the same i did to my first integra - ITR spring/shocks.

but overall once the car is cleaned up and presentable, i'm using it as a mileage platform - 87 octane ftw.
