Werd.
I have no idea how these businesses survive, when everyone I know shops for things like that online.

my friend used to be in this business. Its not something thats permanant.
He would setup shop say for 2 years in one location. Then sell the business and open up another elsewhere. If your not into it for the long run its an ok thing to start. You get commission from the cell carriers. Except Sprint.

Every time I see an authorized dealer, the place is packed. Lots of money to be made out there.

What's more scary is the electronic waste that's being pushed out there. I hope the old crap is being disposed of properly.

Well at least the cell phone stores aren't selling you bad coffee or you aren't sitting around drinking bad coffee in a starbucks and being pitched cell phones. Although most people that go into starbucks don't really drink coffee...

They sells tons of "impulse" items. Cases, chargers, batteries, headphones, wires for everything, flashy lights for when it rings and the markup on these is 100's of percent.

Check out ebay, you can get a case, charger, battery and one of those fake "extended antenna" things for 1 cent. Sure $5 shipping but for $5.01 what you can get on ebay will cost you $50-100 at one of these places.

That and most people are too dumb or impatient to order online. "Where's the nearest store?"

if i go into starbucks, the barista doesn't push me to order a frap when i want an iced coffee. he also doesn't tell me he's going to get me a "good deal" on that iced coffee. then turn around and tell me that all i have to do is promise to buy that same iced coffee for the next two years. but theyre going to have to run my credit before i even sip my iced coffee. do i need insurance for my iced coffee?

It's annoying when I'm just casually walking pass them at the mall and they ask to see my cell phone.... I tell them I'm too poor to afford one, then my phone rings

i can usually tell the type of area im in based on the number of half ass third party wireless stores i see ... the more i see the more lower income area i know i'm in h:

and as for those damn stands in the mall, i just ignore them completely or inform them that i dont deal with companies that cant afford more than a stall in the mall food court
