Hawaii- cruise or hotel package?
dave what island....regardless if you havent been i would suggest hotel, but like said thats to short of time imo

i really dont know which island since i know nothing really.
so you guys think its not long enough? i could do like tues-monday and try to beat the weekend :dunno:

1) learn to swim
2) scuba
3) luau
4) driving around island
5) walking around shops

In order to Scuba you have to be able to wade in the water with full gear for 20 minutes before you even go out into the field...
atleast that's how it used to be

Driving around the island is cool, some of the locals aren't too friendly with outsiders though

i was gonna say ... scuba and you cant swim
you'd be lucky to pass a hotel sponsored course but to be certified here before going over good luck
its not exactly a weekend type course
i vote hotel deal, cruises can sometimes feel to rushed, you will see more if you do hotel imo

look into island hopping to. Flights are like $49 I think.
For touristy snorkeling, there is the half moon island off the coast of Maui, there are 2 nice spots on the big island (doing all those, that's how I know of them)
