Mac users: Pick up this deal
http://mupromo.com/
Seriously, one of the best and most useful software bundle deals I've ever seen. DVDRemaster Pro, Hazel, and Story Mill made it worthwhile for me, and it's kind of like a Macintosh groupbuy... Get enough people to chip in, and we'll all get legit Parallels software keys

DVDRemaster is a great DVD ripping app that gets around zero-cell protection reliably. It's like a combination of DVD43, DVDshrink, and ffmpeg with a nice GUI and iPod, iPhone, and AppleTV presets
Hazel lets you set your finder to catalogue, manage, sort, clean up, and manage duplicate files automatically
Art Text: Probably most useful for school teachers and beginning web designers, I think it would make a quick and simple way to make titles for FCP videos
Typinator integrates into your OS and allows you to have systemwide shortcuts for text... Type in "dt", then hit "return", and it automatically enters the date. It's more of an office related app... you an have a dozen macros, and have these macros autotype into any text program. They have a little video here:

Leap is an improved search interface for power users
Story mill is a useful writing tool that helps you keep organization of your plotpoints (not so useful to you maybe, but I'm interested)
Sound Studio is a sound editing app with HQ sound and mix-making capabilities
And, of course, Parallels lets you run Mac OS X and Windows in parallel, and drag and drop files, folders, and copy-pastes between the OSes.
And, of course, this is a cheap price for legit software.
