It was an option on the EX from what I remember.

I think the EX came with it. I don't remember much add on options at the time. It's either EX with everything (rims, 4wd, airbags all around, etc) or the DX that came with blackies, 2wd, etc.

Incorrect.

DX - black wheels, non-standard AC, lesser stereo.
EX 2wd (which I had ) - Alum wheels, stereo w/ subwoofer, AC side airbags were an option.

EX 4wd, same as above, add in Moonroof and i THINK side airbags were standard.
