not to start a side debate ...
but people who say 'oh George, hes an idiot" or "the dumbest american alive" are imo the dumbest people alive. the man is the freaking president ... regardless what you think, it takes some amount of brains to make it there. even if others got him there ... you still have to have some brains to pick these people. not to mention he was a govenor for years.
i dont think GWB is that dumb at all. i think maybe he's a little to quick to shoot, but then so am i. To this day i'll stand by the decision that he was the best possible option we could have had for what happened in his presidency. maybe we are in some fucked up wars ... wars that could have been avoided. but the fact of the matter is he is 'smart' enough that when someone came and said hey fuck you, he said hey fuck you right back. it's scary to think what the other president hopefuls would have done... meetings and peace conferences

I agree he must be intelligent in order to get where he is today. I also feel that his father was a truly smart man, and GW had a large part of his success based off of his father. On the other hand, Jeb really seems to have that intelligence that their father had. I think Bush is really not a good leader, and isn't stable enough, but his party is what gives him strength.

Quayle is the bigger moron hands down.
Bush is a crafty fucker who knows how to manipulate situations so he can't possibly be as stupid as he seems. Doesn't mean I like him any more or less I just think he is the smarter of the two.
