Default Any D.C. HANers?

Me and the girl will be in D.C. from the 12th-15th of this month. Just going for the fun of it, she's never been so I want to show her all of the cool places. If anybody lives up there wants to hang out or something, let me know.

I'm from DC but don't live there. Make it back a few times a year.

What sort of places do you consider "cool"?

I guess for me growing up there I got dragged to all the museums and monuments so often that I kind of got bored with them. I tend not to go to touristy type things when I go back and visit.

Anything besides museums and monuments that interest you?

Well since I don't get to go up that way too often, I'm going to be the touristy type. But that's all we'll pretty much have time for, unless you can think of other things. My girl is 20...can't drink yet, so the night life will be limited. I think we're going to be staying in either Alexandria or Springfield, VA. I have family in Alexandria...my uncle is a Biochemist for the FBI, we might stay with them, not sure yet.

i was there last month. if you dont stop and read everything you can do 2-3 museums a day. there are like 6/7 smithsonians.

american history museum is closed until fall 2008 for renovation.

Do they allow public tours of the Pentagon? I took a tour there once about 5 years ago when I was a Senior in HS. I went with some Youth Leadership thing...I'd really like to go in my Army Dress Greens and feel important when I know I'm not, lol

*edit*...nevermind, I looked it up
