how are you throwing your money away by renting? what is the alternative? not rent and live in your car?

I would say most people would rather buy if they are able to, but if you aren't able to buy, renting isn't throwing your money away.

The reference to "throwing away your money" is just a way to say that you aren't spending it on an asset. You're spending it on services. It's just a term, take it for what you will .

thats a terrible reference if so ... just cuz you spend your money on something other than a asset doesnt mean its throwing money away. plenty of services you need that in no way reflect any idea of throwing money away. you get something for your money so how its not even close to throwing it away
