I've got a 60DB GSM/CDMA repeater sitting in one of my cabinets complete with external antenna and all but the cabling isn't plenum coated. I do however have a complete in building solution waiting to be installed once its signed off on. All paid for by a very large wireless provider. 
I have a screen protector as well as a DLO case already.
I don't really text. Save that for the teeny boppers and my BFF Jill.

Yea, really. It's like a smart phone with a lot of features, PDA, Smart Phone, Internet Tablets, all together, and I got mine for really cheap, no contract compared to all the Smartphones outthere.
I can also use it as a wireless touch pad for my PC, live RSS feed, GBA emulator, SNES/NES, PSX emulators, as my On-The-Go entertainment
Think of all the space saving I'd have if I was to carry all the other stuffs around

I agree, it does have its limitation, but 3rd party sw is really catching up to it. However, I'm interested in the new 2.0 (1.2.0 to be exact) FW release.

h: I wasn't a fan of the iPhone myself and am still not from a business perspective. Its a great personal device however and an excellent alternative for people buying smart phones just for Gmail and texting.
I'm actually using it to post right now via my homes wifi. It is still pretty limited compared to a WM device or Blackberry. I heard of Exchange support coming in June so I had to get one for "testing". (cough)

I don't use case, just full body protector. No scratches, even with knife on it
