edit: take back my derogatory comment, that looks snazzy edit2: I'll leave the rest, but it's kind of pointless now h:

Serious question, if you guys can afford such expensive theater setups, don't you have a cable and/or satellite package that come with a decent universal remote at no extra cost?

My cable comes with a pretty good one, more presets than I can even use.

it's about ease of setup. you just set it all up on your computer and plug the remote into your computer via usb and it's all done.

If you get both of those, it'll almost match what I spent on a new (reman.) alternator for the civic :eek5r:

now that I actually read the post, I see it's either/or... I'd go with the $50 one, it looks cooler and you won't feel as raped after you pay for it. (based only on looks and price)

you could probably buy a used civic for what i spent on my audio/video setup. so this little remote is a very small fraction of the whole.

speaking of car maintenance, i shoulda probably made my overdue timing belt a priority over a silly remote. o well. impulse rules!

Yeah, impulse can be a bitch. As long as it's not hardcore overdue on the mileage you'll probably be OK for a bit. And you never know, you might get in a crash and total the car before the remote even arrives :noes:
