Mine says: Your tax refund is scheduled to be mailed on April 4, 2008. If you do not receive the refund by May 2, 2008, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.

even though I filed it electronically on march 15 and got confirmation. I also got state a week ago already.

 

I'm so lazy to get letter envelopes to mail my state amended forms to get my $500 back...you'd think I would have more motivation here...

 

canada, I found out that IRS uses ACH transaction service for their direct deposits and if your name does not EXACTLY match the name on the bank account you provided, the transaction comes back and they issue you a check. I am not sure if thats what happened to you, but I am thinking is thats what happend to me since I did not put a middle name on my checking account as I did on my IRS form.

 

Word of caution: Put your first, middle initial, and last name on everything! I always have and never had a problem.

My legal name is Erik William Thiess-Kusiak... and my bank account left out the middle name. Sucks.
