Thinking about moving
Well, not really
h:
I've got a client thats shopping in Westminster (about halfway between Boulder & Denver, probably a 15 minute commute in clear traffic). His budget is roughly what mine was when I bought my place a year ago... ~$200-230k. He's looking at nice houses in the 1700-2500 square foot range with 2 car garages, nice yards, etc etc. My $200k got me a dinky little condo in Boulder. :hs:
I'm actually really happy with my place, but I'm not too keen on the lack of garage (i've got a carport) and the HOA fees. I love Boulder, and I hate commuting, but dayum.
If I went the other direction (Longmont) $200k would buy me an even nicer house

THat is all

commuting is a breeze, definitely worth it if your standard of living improves. I'm thinking of moving to PA and commuting for work until I find something acceptable in PA. My commute now is 40min to the branch, it would be about 80min from where we're looking in PA. But the houses are bigger and almost half the price, plus it's peaceful, no traffic, plenty of outdoorsy things to do
I'll drive an extra 15hrs a week if it means the bills are easier and I'm happier overall.

I should also note that rush-hour commuting makes me want to kill people... I have road-rage problems.

i just hoping you'd put likewise also
h:I'm hoping to get a home soon
h: but as I've stated before, my budget can't afford my taste without me living off of ramen for the next couple years, or getting a roommate :/
So I can wait
