As a baseline, I was looking to purchase a second house ( last year) and use the current one as income property. The house was in a new development. 3200 sq ft. spiral staircases, 5 bdr and a studio suite. Prices started at 800k+ up (for the lower model - no upgrades). Big house, small lot.

Little to no front yard. Minimal backyard... Looks like your money goes a LOT farther in NO
