and no for us, it isnt like we are scared or anything, afterall, we are married.... but i know a girl who was pregnant, had some complications and things didnt turn out well.... and she had already told everybody so people were constantly asking her how things were going and it made it that much harder for her...

From what other people have told me, a month. That way you can be sure and have a test or two done by then and be more sure that things are going well.

 

people usually tell their parents/confidants when they find out but i like to be safe and wait until after the first trimester in case something happens.

 

I guess if there are issues at-hand, then you might want the family all-up-in-your-business.

Bottom line, however, your wife will let you know when you can talk about it.

 

my cousin and her husband told her parents a little less than 2 months after. friends and family were told in the weeks following. it all depends i guess

 

man she wants to tell people at least as badly as i do, if not more....

she is estimating that she is 3 weeks along but she called her Dr. on Friday and she estimated 6 weeks...

You know.... If that's where the two of you are, then it sounds like you're surrounded by supportive people. Maybe give the older generation in your family the opportunity to look forward to this. They'll send good vibes starting from the moment they find out.

 

we have discussed telling our parents only .... at least then if something happens, we have some base support (God forbid)
