Default off shore racing boats

anyone into these? anyone have one or have a friend with one? talkin with thomas got me excited about them again

my uncle had a ownership in apache powerboats for a long time and has owned quite a few of them over the years...

his first one i remember was medicine man, a 41ft i think ... full cabin, more of a leasure cruiser ... twin turbo engines. heres some pics:

this one is my uncle and my lil cousin from a LONG time ago

he had a scale model of medicine man built that was fully remote controlled and ran up to like 60mph sooo much fun.

heres another one he had, this was broken arrow, only saw it once or twice, owned it around 2002. kept it in florida almost exclusively and ran poker runs with it down there im pretty sure it was runnin triple 1000hp big blocks...

he got tired of broken arrow and purchased his last one, kemosabe in late 02 early 03 ... and sold broken arrow. kemosabe is 3 blown big blocks pushing over 1500hp a piece. stand up 47 footer that handles 6 people semi comfortable and let me tell you this thing is fucking BADASS!!!

anybody else dig these boats or like cruisin in them?

My wife used to work for Cigarette Racing Team. Took a tour of their plant once  its amazing what can be built by skilled illegal immigrants. Really sad how poorly they paid those people for the amazing craftsmanship. The whole boat with the exception of the electronics are hand built.

From what I remember, they produce about the same at Cigarette. Either way, both companies are looked at as the top exotics.
