Recently I've been feeling like my food is being fucked with when I visit restaurants. It was probably because I got the flu (I had thought it was food poisoning at first) earlier this month.

Example today, there was a huge hair in my food at Chilis. I sent it back, and when it came back it looked like they made my sandwich in 10 seconds. I guarantee someone did something worse than having a hair in it.

Typically I never send anything back. I am wondering how many people send back orders if they are wrong. Anyone work in restaurants and ever fuck with someone's food?

It depends, but pretty much never. It's been years.

 

If its fucked up, it goes back.

 

I've only had to once. That was in my medium well days (I eat medium rare now) and the cut I got was barely rare. When they brought it back, they had recooked the same cut and it was still rare-ish so I just didn't eat it. Honestly that's the first and only time I'd ever been truly dissatisfied at a restaurant. Other things occurred that night that added to that but that was the tip of the iceberg.

I would only do it if my food was really fucked up. One time I order a Chicken Philly at a restaurant, and they guy brought me chicken tenders. I didn't say anything, I just ate them.

 

yeah my gf and i have backgrounds in the restaurant business...

so we know better than not to have food sent back.

 

Why? I dont pay for things I didnt want or request. If I am concerned with the type of place it is or if I think they might sabotage the food, I leave. The few times I have had to return food I have been extremely polite and have ALWAYS refused comps.

If I fuck up at work I have to make it right. Why would some **** food worker feel he is more privileged than anyone else?
