Default NIN Ghosts

Anyone have it? Pretty good stuff.

Nine Inch Nails is selling it on their site for $5. Its 36 full songs all instrumental "for the day dreamer". I like it so far. I'm almost halfway through the album

They are also giving it away on all the main public (and private) trackers.

I downloaded it a couple days ago, and just burned it to CD last night. Listened to I & II in the car this morning, pretty good stuff. I've always liked NIN's insturmental stuff. I hope more big bands start doing this type of thing. $5 for an album of digital music (or $10 for the physical album shipped to your door plus the downloads) seem pretty appropriate. Better than $0.99/song on itunes or $12-$18 in the store. Why they can charge the same for a new album that they do for a DVD movie has always escaped me. A movie costs so much more to make.

The best concert I've ever been to was their first "With Teeth" tour at the Pepsi center here in Denver. I'm not normally impressed by concert light shows, but whoever did the lighting/effects for that show deserves some kudos. It absolutely blew me away. Not toomention, Queens of the Stone Age opened, which wasn't half bad.

They're only giving away the first volume of the album, tracks 1 - 9. Tracks 10 - 36 are still "supposed" to be paid for.

Reznor is a has-been but I applaud his efforts at cutting the ties with the music industry and bringing music back into the hands of the people. Radiohead set the way and others have followed...lets just hope the trend continues to grow.
