Mike Ditka was in my town today signing autographs and pitching his line of wine(s).







I wouldn't really say we (brother, jen, myself) "met" him because he didn't say a word ... but he did show up 2 hours before his advertised time to start signing autographs. :thumbup:

The '85 Bears are nothing but walking legends in this town. 22 years after their Super Bowl win, they're still icons. Besides Peyton, nobody deserved the center of that logo.

He's ... intimidating. It didn't help that he looked EXACTLY like the 85 picture. He even had his pitch black aviators on.

The matted picture ran me $20 at the mall. I heard about the Ditka signing while I was close to high-end sports memorabilia store. There's a matching drop-in frame I'm going to pick up too. $35 and coach will be on my wall.

 

i get the feeling that he strives to keep that look. aside from being the look bear fans know and love its also the look that has kept him an icon in sports related movies and tv shows. he's become more than a football coach, hes ditka

 

Seems reversed in Philly.
