Hi-Point 9mm carbine
aka. the cheapest p.o.s. rifle money can buy

I couldn't resist the urge to pick one up for a whopping $160. The thing looks and feels like it was made by playskool. I put a box through it yesterday and it jammed a few times. I just got done deburring and polishing parts of the action that should make it half ass reliable. I'd never trust my life to it but it is good cheap fun.

I wanted a 9mm carbine because it'll be cheap to shoot but more bang than a .22. And even the price of 7.62x39 is getting bad
. I'll probably order an sks this summer but I'm really in no rush for that one.
My roommate has been wanting to pick up that 9mm carbine for a while, just a cheap gun for cheap shooting. He's a little concerned about it blowing up in his face, though. Let us know how it shoots with your modifications.
