The article for those interested:
BEAVER FALLS — Police were busy investigating the city’s second homicide in two weeks after a resident was shot down in cold blood early Saturday on Beaver Falls’ main street. Beaver County Chief Deputy Coronor Renea Esoldo pronounced Christopher M. Harris, 34, of 315 13th St. dead at 4:30 a.m. Esoldo said an autopsy revealed Harris was killed by a single gunshot wound to the back. Beaver Falls Police Chief Charles “Mick” Jones said police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Seventh Avenue between 3:30 and 4 a.m. after several people in the area reported hearing shots being fired. Domenic Gratteri, owner of Domenic’s Hot Dogs at 1113 Seventh Ave., said a few customers inside the restaurant, which closes around 4 a.m., were eating at the counter or waiting for takeout when they heard several loud bangs. “We heard the shots, and everybody rushed out,” Gratteri said. Gratteri wasn’t sure who called 911, but said the group saw Harris on the ground in the area of 11th and 12th streets. Gratteri said Harris had not been inside his restaurant before the shooting took place. “At this point, there are no connections to Domenic’s,” Jones said. Jones said police arrived to find Harris on the sidewalk. When paramedics arrived, he said, Harris still showed some signs of life and medics began rendering aid. Harris died soon after. Police consider the shooting to be a homicide, but Jones said police did not have any suspects or witnesses. Harris had recently moved back to Beaver Falls, police said. A woman who answered the phone at Harris’ home refused to comment. Police are asking anyone who might have heard or witnessed anything related to the shooting to call them at (724) 847-2821.
