Default Wow Zyrtec-D is amazing

I had some kind of crazy allergy attack today. Claritin + Dayquil + Afrin managed to cover up the symptoms but I had the sort of allergy feel in my sinuses all day like my head was getting ready to explode.

I picked up some Zyrtec-D which has both the Zyrtec ingredient plus pseudoephedrine (i.e. the good shit decongestant which they replaced with phenylephrine in most OTC pills like Dayquil) and I am finally fixed. Not sure if it's the Zyrtec itself or the pseudoephedrine but either way this is great.

You can get Claritin with pseudoephedrine as well. I've been wanting to try the Zyrtec, because sometimes I still have allergy effects while taking Claritin....but I've heard it makes people drowsy.

Zyrtec-D is good shit!
get the Generic verison to save money.

My only complaint about Zyrtec-D is my nose got really dry and raw.

Walgreen's only had a generic version of Zyrtec but not Zyrtec-D. Anything with pseudoephedrine in it they don't actually put on the shelf. You have to take a card from the shelf up to the pharmacy counter where they put your driver's license number in the computer and track your pseudoephedrine purchases to make sure you're not buying so much as to run a meth lab. There were no such cards for the generic version.

Seems like both Claritin and Zyrtec were so successful as prescription drugs that their producers are keeping them pricey as over-the-counter. The generics are still pretty pricey--maybe a couple bucks less but that's it. Either way when I run out of this supply of Zyrtec-D I'm going to try regular generic without the pseudoephedrine and see if that works alright. I don't want to be on Walgreen's list of pseudoephedrine hoarders if I can avoid it. :uhhok:

The only difference is the D version is a nasal decongestant. It should have no more help for your itchy/watery eyes, itchy throat, sneezing, etc. They have the same amount of antihistamine, and same ingredient.

actually the zyrtec-d 12 only contains 5mg cetirizine. the regular zyrtec comes as 5 or 10mg.

So Zyrtec has a different antihistamine? Claritin has loratadine
