So... I am definitively behind the times. I don't have an xbox 360, I don't have an ipod, I don't have cable, I don't have a functional camera phone... etc.

My TV has a built-in DVD player that works about 5% of the time, being a little generous. I was thinking of maybe getting a used gaming system (ps2, xbox, whatever) so I would have a functioning DVD player so I don't have to watch my netflix on my computer, and I wouldn't mind having some forza or something to kill the time with.

I'm lazy. Where do I look, how much do I expect to pay, which system do I get, etc?

how much gaming would you plan on doing? what types of games? any interest in online play?

 

if its a step up from N64 007, its revolutionary to me :crazyr:

 

sounds like a ps2 then. tons of good and proven titles to choose from, not to mention the system is around $100, with inexpensive games.

Can't go wrong there. Not so much madden, but I've never enjoyed vid game football much.

RE4 is supposed to be awesome too (own but not yet played), even if you haven't played the previous games.

Get a 360 from Circuit City. They're one of the last places with the "Go Pro" bundle a free copy of Forza 2 and Marvel.
