I got into a little argument making fun of fobs the other day. Anyway, Filipinos that arent good at speaking English like to pronounce certain words/letter combinations a certain way.

examples:

Youtube = Youchube
Jury Duty = Jury Juty
Medium = Mejoom

Ok, before AccordV6 and whoever else calls this a stupid thread...

How do u guys pronounce words that start with "TR"?

I never really thought of it, but the person I got into a discussion with pointed out words that non-Fobs do the same thing to.

Transformers = Chransformers
Tuesday = Chooseday

Do any of you pronounce it like "Ter-ansformers"?

theres that hardware store chain called "Do-it Yourself center"

A lot of Pinoys (Atleast the ones who are Visayan) Pronounce S first then they say the word, for instance, Spa would be pronounced as, " Esss Spa..."

It's weird, and it irratates me :/

 

its the spanish influence.

its usually when the letter following the "S" is not a vowel.

hence why u dont hear "nissan essentra" or "dat bits has essand"
