whats hope?

the friggin ppl where i did my taxes didnt even ask me these many questions

exactly. do your own or dont act surprised. I've done my own taxes every year since i was 18, it's easy as hell since I have no capital gains/losses, no itemized deductions, no land ownership, no wifey, etc etc

Did your parents claim you as a dependent? If no then you would have:
$12000 -3400 -5360 = 3240 taxable income tax = $323.00
