Default hooray for impulsiveness v.poll

I've been thinking about selling off all my cars but the truck and just leasing a "professional" car. I like the idea of leasing because its temporary, doesn't require much money out of pocket, no maintenance costs, etc. That, and the g20 isn't aging particularly well, and well, its got no balls. If any of you have leased before, let me know your thoughts on the whole process.

That said, the cars I've been thinking of are:

Legacy GT: cool, presentable, peppy, good for snowboarding & shitty weather
Legacy i: presentable, practical, can lease for $99/mo
TSX: IMO, same cool factor as the GT, but w/o the AWD & turbo. Good mpg
Jetta TDI: not a big fan of volkswagens, but I do love diesels.

So you get the idea... mid size sedan, somewhat sporty. A legacy is about as big as I would care to go. Any other suggestions welcome.

:edit: see post #42 h:

if u drive a lot, not worth to lease.

other than that, think of leasing as you're renting a car for 2-4yrs. it aint yours. this is good or bad depending on how you look at it and your needs.

I think I put about 15k per year on my "professional" car. I could probably cut down on that if I needed to.

they have 15k/year leases. that can work. the difference in payment for a 15k/year and 12k/year is minimal anyway. and if u can find a lease offer on a car and they are offering a good residual value for u to buy it out if you want, it might be worth it.

I'm not a big fan of the TL... I like the looks, but I prefer the smaller/4bangerness of the tsx.
