woot new reel
finally decided it was time to get a decent medium/heavy tackle bait caster and after looking at a few different onces i decided on this.
list price was 159 but with employee discount it was 127. probably could have gotten it cheaper online but instant gratification ftw.
my bros in law are down right now doing some fishing today and tomorrow and if they're catching i'm gonna drive down after work monday morning and join in on the fun

I'm not into baitcasting, all my gear is spinning from light to ultralight. I have a couple of Ultra-light spinning rods that I paid well over $100 for, (Gary Loomis) carbon fiber, one piece. I can reel the line in without anything on it and feel the cracks on a floor. Nothing's more fun than a big fish on 2# test. I've taken several largemouths in the 12-15# range and a bunch of smallies in the 8-10# range on them.

i do have one spinner that's light to ultralight. hell, i dont even know what lb test is on it but i know it's small as piss. i don't do much, if any, fresh water though besides bream and cats and i'd only use that rig on the former.
