I haven't driven the C63, but I've driven the E63 AMG, S63 AMG, and the ML63 AMG.
I think the M3 is great - i've only driven the 6spd, but I've driven the SMG in the e60 M5 and e46 M3. It's a blast to drive, and it feels fucking glued to the pavement.
the 6.2 has more oomph to it, and seems faster (although I haven't driven it in C-class trim). Maybe that was a combo of the 6.2 and the great tranny. The blown AMG 5.5 is sweet too... looks like the previous gen C55 AMG's lost the blower.

335d with sport package and cold weather package = $49,XXX Kinda pricey
It also never let me pick a transmission.
What is the difference between leatherette and leather?

Both the 335d and X5 35d are auto-only.
Not that it really matters much; the auto is very well-behaved and the car is a fucking torque monster.
Given the choice, I'd take a 335d over an M3 sedan any day of the week.
