Default computar help

ive got this precision 370 at work i need to reinstall windows on
it had a sata drive and we need to keep this drive intact
i have 2 brand new sata drives and they each work
but when i install xp it blue screens during install at the same point for both drives
the bsod occurs after the second reboot after i name the computer and set the time zone

thoughts?

whats the bsod say?

have you tried using a different copy of an xp disc?

did you try running sata in compatibility mode in the bios?

This is my same thought, and to add to it you might want to find the drivers for the disk (probably have to put them to floppy) and when the install first pops up, hit F6 to install additional drivers. It will prompt you later to enter the disk.
