ds3 wii chipped...what a pain in the ar$e
So i have a pic of what the new wii with mod chip looks like.
ITS A PAIN IN THE A$$ to do, 31 soldering points.
a friend of mine did this and took him 10 hours to finish.

What is that, the D2CKey?
I still don't trust Wii modding. The main reason I'd do it is for import games and if that thing triggers off a system update ... :wavey: to partial or full brick.

D2CKey is for the newer Wii's. The newer boards are more complex.
To my understanding, no machine is brick proof. If a game calls for a system update, it'll connect to the region the game was intended for.
USDM console w. JDM system update = partial brick. You can play games but lose everything else. I think your other menus display an Opera error screen.
USDM console w. PAL system update = brick.

the person that is using that wii just did a software update last night and so far so good. His wireless works, games, Wii channels etc...
Im trying to find a dvd tray loader for mine so i can try it myself and if it messes up at least it wont mess up my whole system.
Anyone know where I can find another DVD loader tray?
