Damn you home depot
300 dollars you took out of my finances so I could put real wood trim around my room and I am just going to paint it anyways.
Why do I have to be such a stickler for details

Yeah once I get a router table I will probably be making my own trim but right now the garage is so fucked up I can't setup in there.

it's worth it to me because I hate MDF with it's soft edges, I want crisp detail in the trim work and mouldings.

If you were painting why not MDF?
And having a router table will not give you good trim unless you have a lot of finger boards and can feed at a consistent rate.
Either one of two things, buy hardwood moulding at a specialty shop, or buy a moulder.
