the fans are easily replaceable. take them out, take them to frys etc, or search online. if its a heatsink fan, it may be causing the cpu to overheat and thus shut off

maybe the motherboard was dropped too low and the fan tucked and rubbed against the processor too much.

check the fans, make sure the they aren't all covered with crud first, if they are covered then take it out side and use a can of compressed air to clean it out.
