I sent him an email today, asking why I only got a C on this last quiz...
He said, "Quiz come from homework, go back to homework and see what you did wrong"
word for word

you asked him the wrong question. you either didnt understand the material or didnt do the homework and got the C if its based off the homework. what you should have asked him is what you can do to improve your grade.
i dropped a class because i couldn't hear / understand the prof.
h:if you drop it, are you still full time? if so, what's the big deal? take it again next semester or online or over the summer or something.
i've switched thoughts
h:
if there is material you dont understand, ask him to clarify on it...or ask others who do get it to explain it to you.

read your book
seriously
read it
not look at the questions and answers, but all those pages between hw sets, those are actually useful things
now try the hw and see how it goes
h:
if its a decent book for the subject 90% of your questions are answered in those pages that no student ever even looks at
what kind of q's are you missing?
subject matter, still doing set theory?
other option is to find the hot girl in class and copy off of her, worked for me for 3 yrs :dunno:

I've had my share of math books where only 70% of the material in the homework is covered in the chapters... there are homework questions that don't even have examples in the book
I hate thinking :madr:
I still passed the classes though
