When horizontal, you'll end up cooking the machine in its own heat. You want the air to travel out-the-side, not under and in. :doh:

and yeah this isn't going to happen ANY time soon. How long did it take for the ps2 slim to come out?
the bottom/right side of the ps3 is basically just a fan, I don't think they are going to fix the cooling problem that quickly... especially when they are still losing money on it

I wouldn't mind a white PS3...in fact I want to change the outer shell on my 360 Elite and swap it with a white outer from a normal 360 because it will go better with my new entertainment setup.

Seems kinda dumb that they don't make game systems in both black and white.

The new colors are a cheap tactic (mastered by Nintendo) to ramp console sales when they slump.

From a logistical standpoint, someone's job just got 2x harder. :chuckles:
