Never been a fan of house reggae or as you call it Dubstep. Just never seems to climax or go anywhere really and I like music with a sense of direction and more texture to it.

I think you're thinking of "Dancehall" when you say "House reggae".

Dubstep is an evolution of garage... but more bass driven and meditative. Actually, the reason you dislike it is the reason I like it... it's a very relaxed music to dance to... and it's got this dark, sexy vibe to it.

Yeah dancehall is what I was thinking of, couldn't think of the term though.

I can see it being meditative and soothing to some degree. It's not bad I just am not big on muddy tones unless it is a subset of a song and not the entire rythm..if that makes sense.
