So Ive been searching for a job for the past few months and finally got some interviews. I interviewed for a job at a online company last Tuesday and then another job at a business development firm last Friday. Today i was offered the position at the business development firm but as a temp without benefits. I would like to be working at the online company because the position would suit me better and seems like a better place to work. I haven't found out the status of the position at the online firm yet; tho they said they would get back to me within this week. how should i "buy some time" or go about find out if im still in consideration at the online company first before accepting the offer.

-havent found out the status of Company B yet
-have one day to accept the offer from Company A

 

tell them you need a few days to think about it.

call the other place and say you were just offered another position, but you'd rather have this job and ask if they can give you an answer soon

any company forcing you into a decision may not want you to look into it too hard so be a little wary if they won't give you a couple days.

 

accept the job. dump them if the better one comes along.

thats bullshit, I was trying to milk system from 2 companies and tried to get best offer. I was suppose to let them know within a week, I took 3 weeks. They can wait.
