So I bought a Yamaha RX-V461 last week to replace my AIWA POS.

I chose the Yamaha for its price ($300) plus I had $75 in best buy gift cards and a 12% discount certificate.


The downfall is that the receiver didn't have any HDMI inputs, but my cable box doesn't have HDMI output, and I didn't feel like spending twice as much to get full HDMI switching, since I don't use it. Overall, I am pretty happy and like listening to the Comcast music channels in digital audio. Next stop, is to get that subwoofer!

Yeah, that is in the works as well.
I have two speakers h: plus, I only spent $200 on the receiver after gift cards and coupons.

 

I spent a total of 160 for my 5.1 Best money I have ever spent in awhile.

that's cool....i'm just saying that if you were gonna upgrade...at least upgrade to something you wont have to replace if you want to get something better in the future.

I got a refurbished onkyo system. I don't ball like you joe, so I like to keep it on the cheap.

 

this reminds me that i need clean up my living room and take pictures for "the public".
