Default Laptop performance...

What would help more, a new 7200 rpm HDD, or adding 512mb ram? Currently have a 4200rpm HDD, and 512mb ramh: Where am I gonna get more bang?

RAM before anything in most cases, especially as cheap as you can find it now... good place to look is www.newegg.com... if you can go higher than one gig of ram, it's not a bad idea, just have to see how much your machine can hold... windows can't utilize more than 3 gigs of ram unless you're running 64bit windows though. I usually max out my ram first thing, will give xp room to fly, not so much with vista though
