I just got it. Not bad two days shipping for free... now all I need to do is go out and buy a USB cord for it, needs USB 1.2, I figure that I'll pick one up at BB this weekend.

I've imported records... that piece of equipment is unnecessary. All you have to do is take a RCA --> 1/8" male cable, and plug the 1/8" end to the "audio in" on a soundcard... get a program, play the record, and hit "record".
The USB interface seems a little simpler, though.

Ah... I bought a fairly modern turntable, and it's got a handy preamp on/off switch. It seems alot of the newer recievers have preamps built in to the phono channel... i use it all the time.
