ive had a few older relatives that had wanted to go to God. the circumstances where similar.. most of their friends and relatives their age were gone, their living circumstances changed. one aunt died last yr. she never got over her son's death the yr before. she had 8 children but when Ray died, her son, my cousin, at the funeral it looked like the light just went out of her eyes. she went into a nursing home also.. its not always a sad thing when u see the situation from their side. their grief is gone and their pain. yet that doesnt help those of us left behind. she was a fav aunt.

im familiar with the italian hug. no one can replace a grandparent.. im sorry for your loss. thoughts and prayers to u and your family.
