mp3 player/ipod/whatever
So I was thinking of getting myself one for a little birthday gift to myself. I'll admit, I'm a total noob.
Ideally, I'd like one big enough to store my entire music collection (once I steal everything from my friends and dl whatever they don't have). I haven't stored any music on my computer in years, so I don't really know how much it would be, but lets assume a lot of files. Do they make an ipod with enough space for a whole shit-ton of music? Or would I have to store it on my computer and swap it over periodically? To phrase that differently, how big is a big-ass music library?
I'd also like the ability to sort my music into genres.
Halp!

160 gig black ipod
Why--> You can buy any type of accessory for it, unlike all the other Mp3 players.
Just make sure you get a service plan...Best buys is the best IMHO. if it breaks and they cant fix it then they will replace it with thte latest and greatest one.
So say you buy the 160 gig for 299.99 and in 1.5 years the battery goes, then you will be able to use your initial 299.99 for the latest Ipod. (or anything in the store really, its a store credit.)
For instance, I had a type R Sub and when it blew out i used the service plan money towards some Wii games.

I've had my 30 GB iPod for a little over 2 years and I haven't had any issues. I'd say that with 30 GB you could probably store somewhere near 15,000 songs. I always encode mine at 192 kB/s though.

Plus, now I have one of those docking alarm clocks which is pretty schweet. :exnbp:

iPods are the best choice of HDD players still. While they don't play all formats like some players they offer the biggest players in small packages with arguably the best interface.
