external optical drive as an option, and 1 USB 2.0 port. No dock has been rumored or released as of yet. He is expecting all media to go towards an internet download netflix streaming video kind of format and sees no need for a built in optical drive.

I guess you can use a hub to get more USBs.

Honestly, that isn't horrible at all, and he might very well be correct.. Now that I think about it, if i could do rebuilds without having to worry about a dvd, i'd be all about it. People flipped out when laptops stopped having floppy drives too.
