You missed the "official" day to remove the tree by a week.

a real christmas tree and no snow?
you are supposed to drag it out in the snow, drink hot chocolate, listen to the last of the christmas music, have a fire, and pack up the ornaments.
taking out the tree was like christmas 2.0 (and the godfather trilogy)... not as good as the original but quite doable.
drunk ramblings.

I just took my tree down on Sunday. I got used to having it on as a nightlight.
