Rivers performed better this weekend against a better Indy defense (compared to the pats) than Brady did. He also had the same amount of passing TDs, and more passing yards. The only reason Brady had such a high completion rating is due to the complete lack of blitzing that Jacksonville brough against him. Pretty pathetic of the Jags if you ask me.

I still think NE is going to win, but saying Rivers is the weak link of the Chargers isn't a very strong argument.

He was getting into it a few weeks back with some Broncos players, talking trash across the field. Sorry buddy, but you're an average quarterback with a decent team around you making you look better than you are. I hope he absolutely gets destroyed by the Pats and that smug smile gets wiped right off his face.
Lets see, if you were walking off the sidelines with fools yelling shit at you, wouldnt you respond too? I guess maybe like certain NBA players, he should jump in the crowd and start fights. That should do it...

35 other quarter backs in the NFL don't respond...which is why Rivers shouldn't, especially given Rivers' lack of credentials. They get paid enough to not care about what some fat drunk balding A-hole getting paid 26k a year has to say about them.

Yet somehow, every other NFL quaterback doesn't feel the need to respond in the exact same situation. :dunno:

I actually liked the Chargers last year, I felt like they were a good, humble team. This year they've had a worse year and are crazy cocky. Philip Rivers isn't making himself any friends around the league.

Edit - RB beat me to it.

My reasoning why he's a weak link is he's not going to be as mobile as he normally is this comming week thanks to the bruised knee. The pats are going to bring some heat and force Rivers to make some quick throw which will most likely cause at least 1 turnover. All the pats need is 1 turnover to change the momentum their way. The pats got that one turnover aginst the jags early in the first half this weekend and that mistake forced a momentum swing and the pats never looked back. The chargers have a chance, they are going to have to play mistake free football, cause if they cause a turnover they won't have a chance. I think the game is going to be a hell of a lot closer then their first meeting earlier this year. I'm looking forward to the game, and if the chargers do pull the upset I'll post and take my punishment.
lets be honest, the nation wants to see the pats vs the packers. the nation as a whole doesn't care about the giants or chargers, they are not the sexy pick. Since the colts and cowboys got knocked out most of the nation wants the pats and pack and I would think the refs might make more favorable calls for both teams. You saw what happened to the chargers, colts got all the calls their way.

This is true but emotions sometimes get to them, they're human too. Maybe he should go fight pitbulls in his backyard.

Comparing Rivers to more menacing and offensive players isn't doing anything for his case as a "classy" QB. Just sayin...

I thought Brandon Jacobs' touchdown celebration was money. I wish it was on youtube...
